Honors/Memorials

Honor and memorial gifts are a thoughtful way to express your sentiments on a special occasion or to memorialize a loved one. Anchor Center for Blind Children's Honor and Memorial Program offers an easy and meaningful way to extend condolences and/or congratulations to friends and family members throughout the year.

Honor Gifts can be given to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, Mother's Day, Father's Day and Grandparents' Day, or to announce a retirement, birth, graduation or job promotion. Memorial Gifts are thoughtful ways of remembering friends and family members.

Anchor Center for Blind Children will send an acknowledgement to the person being honored or to the family of the person being memorialized. Please include the correct spelling of the person's name you are recognizing, as well as the name and address to whom the acknowledgement should be sent.

Bequests/Wills

Anchor Center for Blind Children is participating in the community-wide Leave a Legacy program, which encourages individuals to leave charitable bequests in their wills. Anchor Center for Blind Children's Board of Directors has established a donor recognition group named the Navigators to recognize persons who include Anchor Center for Blind Children in their wills, estate plans, or any other gift of future provision. Please contact us to request a brochure on how you can Leave a Legacy or include Anchor Center for Blind Children in your estate plan.

Matching Gifts

Through matching gifts you can double - or even triple - the value of your gift to Anchor Center for Blind Children.

Corporations that provide a matching gift program establish their own guidelines with respect to employee eligibility, qualifying recipient organizations (such as Anchor Center for Blind Children), and the minimum/maximum contribution that can be matched. Generally, a corporation will match dollar for dollar, but some match at a higher rate.

As a supporter of Anchor Center for Blind Children, we encourage you to explore and utilize this method of contributing. To find out if your employer matches charitable contributions, contact your human resources department. They can give you a matching gift application form. Fill out the donor part of the form and send it along with your gift to Anchor Center for Blind Children. We will take care of processing and returning your application to your employer.

Are you a retired employee? Ask if the company will match your gift as a retiree.
