Three times per week, for four hours each day, preschoolers attend Anchor Center for Blind Children independently of their parent or guardian. During classroom time, preschoolers rotate groups and teachers to learn different skills in each setting. Each month, all the groups plan their activities based on a story and song of the month. Each story/song of the month has several categories including: pre-braille/low vision, sensory/orientation & mobility, cooking/snacks, dramatic play/environmental set-up, motor (indoor/outdoor), hand and communication skills.
