Wish List

 

Another way you can help Anchor Center is by bringing in low-cost wish list items. Anchor Center for Blind Children constantly needs these items, and every item donated allows us to save on operating costs.

Please consider gathering wish list items for your next community group project.

Gift Cards: Grocery, Discount or Craft Stores

Food Items:

  • Graham Cracker Stix
  • Ritz Bitz Cheese (no peanut butter, please),
  • snack crackers
  • cheese puffs,
  • Pringle chips--different flavors,
  • Beef jerky and Slim Jim beef jerky,
  • dried fruit-apple, banana, mango - soft and dehydrated
  • non perishable canned food,
  • individual servings of pudding, especially vanilla
  • individual servings of applesauce,
  • clear fruit juice,
  • licorice ropes or sticks - any flavor/color
  • string cheese
  • cotton candy

Paper products:

  • gift cards: grocery, discount or craft stores,
  • paper towels,
  • facial tissue: soft, high-quality, please "TENDER NOSES!"
  • snack & sandwich size bags

Cleaning supplies:

  • dishwasher detergent,
  • bottles of bleach
  • germ free hand sanitizer,
  • trash bags - Large

Bathroom/Pharmacy:

  • Tom's of Maine strawberry toothpaste-small tubes,
  • children's eye patches
  • liquid hand soap,
  • swim diapers-various sizes,
  • florescent colored child sized toothbrushes,
  • wash clothes - baby and regular

Kitchen:

  • cloth napkins
  • cookie sheets - new or used
  • solid color contact paper
  • wooden spoons
  • child utensils

Crafts:

  • crinkly paper - shiny
  • batteries: AAA, AA, C & 9 volt
  • tri wall
  • fun foam
  • tactile screens
  • Velcro rolls (adhesive),
  • Colored Mylar paper (not silver or clear)

Activity Center

  • touch and feel books
  • metallic pompoms
  • sling seat swings
  • coin banks that move, light up and/or make noise
  • table top doll house with dolls - wooden
  • toy car with people that come in and out
  • toy school bus with people that come in and out
  • Frog in a Box - soft toy (www.geniusbabies.com)
  • plastic brightly colored Slinky toys
  • play by light musical instruments

Miscellaneous items:

  • blank Digital Video Cassettes
  • DVD-R and CD-R dics
  • Adaptive Equipment - Talking Boxes
  • New infant and toddler car seats (with five point safety harness)
  • Sassy seats (seats to attach to meal & activity table)

Office supplies:

  • postage stamps,
  • writing tablets
  • 3 ring -1" thick 10"tall - binder
  • white and colored copier paper,
  • coffee and tea
